Being an empath is a blessing and a curse. On one hand, you are able to truly empathize with anyone around you, whether you are helping them celebrate an exciting time or offering support during a bad time. However, it can be really hard to turn off.
The best way to cope is to remind yourself that these are not your emotions that you are experiencing, and practice grounding yourself.
